Impression Obsession Challenge - Sparkle & Shine

I picked a piece of paper up last week at Nika's in Windsor;  Thought it would be perfect for my Hydrangea die from IO!
I'm hoping to enter in the challenge at IO - Sparkle and Shine.

It certainly is sparkle and shine outside this morning!  -18 and snow on the way!  :)

Die cut the hydrangea 3 times;
Leafy branch Die
Hand cut the butterflies from the pattern paper.
There is sparky and shine all over this background paper !
But my photographic skills didn't quite capture that element!

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day:  Group card

stamps:  PSX, Kaiser Craft and ???(happy Valentine's Day)
Die:  cheery Lynn
Hearts, rose and sentiment; were hand cut
versafine black ink
coloring: back one:  (Very quick!) alcohol markers and red ink
               front one:  colored pencils

So many companies have a version of the "post card",  "Nika's in Windsor has one;  very useful stamp!  The Kaiser craft roses, I also purchased from nika's last year.  I use it so much!  Kaiser craft makes a great product!  The die purchased at Nika's.

Tip:  Cuttlebug:
cutting the detailed large dies.
(every machine is different/  and the paper we are cutting are different thickness !  watch the video on cheery Lynn)
This is what I did....(know your machine!  too expensive to replace!)
First cut:  (A,shim plate, C, die, card stock, B)
second cut:  remove metal shim plate
Use a strip of card stock (or 2 depending on your machine)  about 1 by 5";
laying in on top of the "sandwich" around the middle of the die area.
whine it thru 3 or 4 times, moving the paper strip on top a little to the right and little to the left each time!


 (  If I had remembered back from Fayn's demo (Rubber Carousel Stamps)  she did the same thing many years ago!  I miss Fayn, Barbie, Taylor and Dajah !   I loved going there so much!

So I'm ready for "make n take" with one of the groups I am volunteering at!  :)  Looking forward!

New Toys!

A great Lady and an awesome friend gave me an envelope punch board for Christmas!  It is awesome!
Love it!  It would be on my list of thing of "must have!"  Corner rounder was always a "need" item.  I So love products that can be used for more things!

I also got for Christmas a new cutter/ scoreboard in one; by Making memories. purchased at Nika's in Windsor.   (I have the both types of score boards now!  :)  Like them both!

This hobby is great but I always have a mess!  And I keep adding to my "clutter"!
crafting is therapy; mine, body and sole!

I'm very very lucky!  I have a great family and friends.  I am
Thankful for all that I have, all that I can do and all the people and 4 legged critters that are in my life.
Life has lots of ups and downs;  new chapters and endings!
I'm glad that I had been a motivator for a few people in 2014.

   Everybody has "something"!
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you!

Holly Berry House

Good Morning everyone!  Hope everyone had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year!

2015 is the start of a new adventure of meeting, helping people and developing new friendships!  And doing this paper craft!

I have the privilege to "play" with some Holly Berry House stamps.  Making boxes!  The birdhouse I didn't cut the holes for the ribbon hanger and the bird!  Just quickly wanted to see the finished project!  Instant gratification!

Nika's in Windsor, NS has Holly Berry House stamps and so much more!

stamped versamark;  embossing powder:  stampendous Jeweled gold.
colored:  Art Qlest Mica Color Stargazer paints and a few twinkling H2Os. The Stargazer paints are awesome product for anyone just starting into water shimmer paints!  I received mine last year for Christmas from our local craft store in Windsor;  Nika's.

I was trying to come up with an idea for a card for my child's horse friends this morning!  Not perfect but it is a start!  :)
Stamps:  serendipity and PSX
Dies:  IO, Cherry Lynn and Marian.

Stamped PSX Horses first, embossed with clear powder, colored with alcohol markers( marvey, copic and spectrum noir); then applied this cool product; Micro Glaze over the image.

then stamped the farm scene; colored it with alcohol markers too!
