My color combinations may not have been the best! Or maybe the harsh edge;  not really happy with how this turned out  but can't take any more time!  :(  Time to pick berries!   Thanks for looking!  Have a great weekend!

Happy Birthday

Happy Monday!

A great long weekend but a busy one!   Lots happening!  But I had to take a bit of time to make a birthday card for a birthday mid week.  So my friend inspired me to join in the JustRite challenge!  I love this set from JustRite!  This week's challenge was to use negative space;  JustRite Friday Challenge #126 - Don't Be So Negative!
justritestampers.typepad.com/justrite-inspiration/2014/07/justrite-friday-challenge-126-dont-be-so-negative.html

When I first decided to do this challenge,  the first  die;  memory box Flutter Vine. # 98334; came to mind.    I had seen someone else use it with the negative space idea.  Sorry I don't have the link/credit!  The shimmer sheets also was hanging there trying to inspire!

I couldn't find a shade of pink or yellow paper right off, without digging into the boxes of paper, so I decided to stamp the background!

Colored the images with my fabulous Viva paper soft-color and Brilliance Thyme and purple inks that are from Nika's art store in Windsor NS.
 Quick job!

The background wasn't stamped to perfection by no means!  Always in a hurry!

The Elizabeth Craft shimmer sheetz ss-0107 green iris was embossed after die cut.

cheery lynn: Happy Birthday

I also would like to enter in the cheery Lynn challenge; "anything goes".

Mini Books

I believe these mini books are # 11.  I started making mini books with family history inside many "moons" ago to share with my family!   I have a long long ways to go before my list of "family" is complete!   Lots of mistakes with the facts but a starts so my relatives have a little idea of our descendants.  These last 2 books and boxes were fun to stamp and color!  Very busy but I really like how they turned out!  They do have "shimmer" to them and of course the picture didn't pick up that sparkle! Thanks again to Nika paper craft supply store in Windsor for the inspiration!

'Tis the season!  Blueberry time!  This is the first cultivar ready;  "Duke"!  So I hope we will be picking berries for the next 4 weeks!  I have blue ray, blue crop and st. Cloud too!  Last year we lost so many to the birds! I have my fingers crossed!

Thank you for looking and have a great weekend!

More Kaiser stamps!

Quick post!  My apologizes!
Where does the time go!  I can't believe that June is here!  The cards in the top pic were from class at Nika's in Windsor, NS, Canada!
Inspired to hand cutting layers from pattern paper! But most importantly, Learning how to cut with the scissor so much quicker!  I have to say in all of my experience and lessons with paper tole;  I never have been pointed out this technique or picked it up!
The circle card was using the hand punch negative as a stencil under the punched layer;  adding an added element that was quick and easy!

The box book set is a version that we did in class. The book fits in the pull out box.  The class version had a card portfolio and a cover for a book and note cards. I can't seem to find my class demo!  It is lost in my craft clutter!  This was really fun to make!  Using the brilliance inks and kaiser stamps! The classes were awesome!  Gave me a boost that I needed to get back into doing this!

So I got to play a few days and evenings! Inspired from the class lessons and my new stamp sets.  I also went to the sale last week at my local store and came home with many new toys! Therapy!  I really want to try the paper soft product that I purchased!  I got blue, yellow and rose to do sky!  I played a little bit the other  day with it but I need more time to play!  So now I'm hoping for rain!

Thanks for looking!  Live Love Laugh!  Have a great day!
