Rain showers.....

Well.......
I was going to get off to the back hill this morning to go pick queen anne's lace and hang the other flowers that I picked last night to dry!
But the mist started again!
So instead I bathed one dog and did laundry!

So now not being productive....computer time is not protective time!  But it is therapy time!  :)

So I have come up with lots of possabilities!  :)
Guess I need to invest in that stamp (http://www.quietfiredesign.ca/I-Dwell-In-Possibility-Mounted-5932.html)  !!!.....

Have a great day everyone!  Enjoying the rain or mist ......:)

Paper Tole

Yesterday, I had company after I got home from my afternoon of card making with the residences!  ( It was a great day!  We were an hour and half making the card!  :)  I know the gentleman really enjoyed using the gelatos and was impressed with the envelope maker!  So it was a great day! )

So my guest asked about one of my pictures hanging on the wall; A pair of blue Jays!

It is a craft that I use to love to do!  And yes I have a stock pile of it too!
I started a set of foxes a number of years ago to make for a relative for Christmas but never got it finished! Life happened!  :(  Life can change with the blink of the eye!     So I lost my motivation!

Now few years later, lack of time and space issues, numbness and tingling don't help with the motivation!

This craft did give me a huge Honor !  I was chosen to present Prince Edward with one of my pictures on behalf of Nova Scotia 4-H.  So this wasn't yesterday!  :)
I have been very lucky!  I am very grateful for everything!

This morning I was painting my new stamp of poppies by penny black;  it brings back memories of working number of jobs that summer!  I worked in a greenhouse a tiny bit and got a flat of poppies to plant in the garden!  Huge Thank you to Ms H.!  She is an awesome person!  Her whole family I owe a huge Thanks too!  Her sister taught me Ukrainian Easter eggs!  She is brilliant!  The whole family are just great people!

This is the product of my last  class with Eddie and Barb; my instructors for paper tole!  They were great ladies too!  Miss them!

Maybe when I get this new craft area cleaned/made and having more space for my clutter,  I might get back in the groove! :)  I'm hoping to move my stain glass clutter there too!  I have lots of ideas!  But,  Not a risk taker! I get very stressed when more goes out than comes in!  I'm hoping I can combine gardening, crafts and the dogs in having' my cake and eat it too plan!  Thanks for stopping bye!  Have a great day!  Going to be wettin' here soon!  :)  We need the rain!

Senior's Card Day

Good morning!
What a difference 5 minutes makes!
I wished I had of taken a camera this morning when I walked to the top of the hill!  The sun was red!
So this picture wasn't as spectacular!

I hope everyone had a great weekend!  We had to go shopping for parts on Saturday so I was asked,  did I want to get dropped off at the scrape booking store?  At first I said no!  But then I was asked again!  Well I came home with 3 items!  Bad me!  Love the 2 new stamps that I purchased!  I justified one that I could use with the senior group that I go and make cards with!

So here is the card idea for them........
Stamps:  Serendipity; memory box

I might die cut a bunch of butterflies too for them!
I will take a bunch of inks and gelatos!  Some of the residents are mobile others are not!  I am not great at picking an appropriate design for them!  But, I'm learning!

I had to make a birthday card too for our niece!  She'll be turning 3!  Wished they lived closer!  (Should add some little leaves too!)

Thanks for looking!  Have a great week!

Happy Canada Day!

Hope everyone had a great holiday!   It was great!  :) It is the very first July first that we spent home as a family! I actually can't remember the last time that I spent this holiday at home!

So we got a lot accomplished!

flowers make everything feel accomplished!  :)  Love seeing the lady slipper!  They are such a beautiful flower!
I'm pretty lucky to see so many on my walk!
The regular lilac are finished;  can't remember what kind this one is..... but I normally don't see much of it or smell it!  But this year the wood crates are not blocking my view!  :)  I really need to move it!  It has had a hard go of it where it is at!  Snow always gets pushed in it's space!  The generator "box" always shared it's space too!  And weeds!
Love to see the poppies come!   One of the many plants that I had to have for my "dried flower" clutter/craft; many many years ago!
The bridal wreath spirea and the deutzia are doing well;  poor peony is fighting for it's life!
The other day, I spent the morning cutting down posts and putting up "Christmas decorations" !  That is what my boys call them!  It is the bird deterrent tape and my tin pan!  The birds were not very happy that I was up in the field!  So may be we'll finally be able to taste them!  I love the birds but not wanting to share my many hours of labour with them!

I guess Raider didn't get all of the potatoes!  He was up in the field a good many times helping himself to what ever he could find!  Too bad he wasn't a weeder!

 Weeds weeds weeds!
Snow mound spirea is looking good!  It is pretty awesome what cutting can do!
I'm a bit disappointed .....all my fox gloves are gone!  It use to be so beautiful!  Full of color! I'm hoping next year they will be back!

Poor geranium that I over wintered!  it bloomed all winter!  Trying to see the light through the snow!  I am known to kill the plants in the house; lack of water!  Pretty bad when that is what I use to do for my living many many years ago !

I was reminded of my favorite paper craft stores being closed.  The rubber carousel 2 years ago and  Tia's Creative memories in Windsor.....so so miss them all!

I also set up 4 agility jumps for the very first time in almost 2 years!  So I get the dogs to do a little jumping when we pass by our agility yard during our walk!  My dogs are in good physical form, not doing agility hasn't changed that!  But I do miss practice time; the social time; helping the new members learn the equipment!  But now life is different and a different busy! I was always on the computer, organizing people, events, shows.  Always thinking of ways to fix, improve our game!  But like everything, life happens!  :)  health and happiness is the most important thing!  The dogs and the group were my passion! I invested so much into those many many years; my own fault or gain! When we are passionate about something; we see things different than others view the same!  Learned lots of life lessons, met lots of great people but now a new chapter has started!  Living in the moment!

Thanks for stopping and have a great day!
