Love my gelli plates!

It was -20 here this morning!  Not sure what it is now, a few hours later!  I have "holly trees" to make this morning; then off running the roads...... so I was able to play with my clutter until it got light enough to go outside to cut holly!
Anyway,  hope everyone is doing well!
I received my IO order last week;  one of my new stamps was this stamp; D6925 Link.
At first I was a little disappointed with the size;  I need to put a ruler in front of me to have a visual and not be in a rush when doing this "ordering thing"!  But then again, I'm not an on-line shopper!
I really try hard to support our retail stores!

My stamping press..... metal base;  if I wanted to use magnets to hold down my paper.
But the gelli plate works so much better!
My top plate of my stamping "press" is clear but those stamps that just don't want to stick;  I use my small gelli plate to use as the "adhesive" !
Love my gelli plates!
Hope everyone is having a great week!
Thanks for stopping!
Always in a rush! :(

Ps. Horse stamp is a PSX!  :)

Birthday

I used my friend's cuicut......quick card for my DH!

I went shopping this morning!  I don't usually do the on line thing but I had a GC that I was hanging on to for a while!  Found the coupon code on FaceBook for IO......."Thanks" so even more savings!
But, I spent way too much on this "therapy"!
Love this "stuff"!  So Birthday and Christmas done!
Happy Thanksgiving USA!

Stampscape "with sympathy"

Still lots of flaws but I will never get it perfect! Sad attempt at the picture quality too, dark outside at this hour!  And using the "phone" app for easy of posting!  But you get the jest of it!   The previous image was really good but there were 2 little indents in the paper after I got it finished!
Was considering adding color, but decided I spent way too much time on this card! I would likely mess it up even more!

I had a perfect idea originally!  The man that died was a sheep farmer!  He always supported our community auctions and sales with farm products!  So I wanted a sheep in my card!  But of course I don't have a sheep stamp!  So that is why I went in search of an image to print, found one that need me to remove the dog and the man smoking a pipe; it was perfect! add some stamped images to it!   Done!  I could see the idea right away!  But that idea went out the window when the printer was dry of ink!  And I quickly tried to draw it myself;  I get so mad at myself!  I always could draw what ever I wanted but now;  it is all miss combobulated!  (That's a word isn't it!) !  Wished we lived closer to a store when you get inspired and don't have the things you need!  So out came the "slice"!
  • Slice:  farm
  • Art-Kure: Ploughman
  • IndigoBlu: Clumber Park
  • Clearly wordsworth:  Comfort collection
  • Stampscape: tree, grass, fence

Thanks for stopping!  Hope everyone is enjoying our fall staying safe with hunting season in full swing!  Have a great day!

Flower die cut

Beautiful outside this time of year.  I love being outside but not feeling par the last few days!  The cold has got me again! (had it 3 weeks ago too!) ! So making flowers and drinking tea!  Hopefully will be better tomorrow so I can help "roof"!
HCD1:  Heartfelt creations Botanical wings die cut
Applied spun sugar distress ink to centers  of  flowers;  quickly applied!  :)
stack the layers;  spray with water, sit in Bloom impression tool
remove center; shape folding petals to center;  1/3/5 petals then 2/4/6
Main flower press into center, folding all petals to center
Leave to dry.
After dry, open up layers
Glue each layer;  press together; again to center
Once dry, open up!

Quick!  Well except the drying time!  You know how I'm always in a hurry!
Hope you like the idea.....and like the result!
Paper was cheap ----65 lbs cardstock....
Thanks for looking!

Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Tools

Posting using the phone app again!

It been "wetting" here this morning so I'm here cleaning up my craft area.  I am happy it's raining since the blueberries will appreciate the moisture greatly.

So I thought I'd share my jelly printing plate useful tip.

when you have some stamps that won't stick any longer or you don't have water handy to rejuvenate the adhesive,. I  use a old picture frame and my small gelli print plate and use it as my stamping block.

Thanks for stopping and enjoy your Tuesday

With sympathy

I started making my cards a tri-fold, I really like the extra feel, but not sure I like the final version!  2 weeks ago I was visiting my uncle and didn't come straight home like I should have done!  I love this"stuff"!  But this time of the year I don't have the time to use it so I should not be buying more!  I came home with 2new die cuts!  More flowers!  But now I am disappointed that I don't have the stamps to match!  Any way not in love with the card!   Not sure if having  the stamp would have helped this card or not!   I think it is the pink tone I added to the flowers the is distracting me!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great week!
