Poppy

Today I was trying to come up with a card for the cheery lynn design challenge;
http://cheerylynndesigns.blogspot.ca/2013/11/cheery-lynn-designs-challenge-105-give.html

The first one I made was not liked by my household of critics.
So.....I tried again!
The stamp was from just rite, stamped with black memento ink.

Card size 4 1/4 - 5 1/2

stamped image around the background edge on white paper, stamped image twice on white paper to be cut out; one layer with flower and leaves, one layer with just one flower. Colored with mostly spectrum noir markers, still missing green and browns to color with
used pp1, dr3,  dr5
Bgr3 and black
Used copics y13 , yg17, e37
still on a learning curve to color with alcohol markers. I had 6 copic for many years but never added to the collection due to price. made due with sharpies and bics. I am liking the Spectrum noir markers!

Dies: Cheery lynn die cut: dl136 japanese garden lace oval
B132 flower chain border (on the first one!)
B192 lace hummingbird flourish (on the second one)
"Thanks" was from sizzix

I removed the hummingbird from the flourish; it was cut out of white cardstock and colored the same as the background stamped image.

Thank you for looking!
Happy November!
